Here comes a particularly sweet old kathe kruse (kk) doll, designed by hanne kruse, kathe kruses daughter and named daumlinchen (thumbelina) because it is so small, measuring only 25 cm / 9 inches tall. Our kk daumlinchen here is a sweet girl with flower crown, coming with all her original and tagged, partly embroidered kk clothes and original stockings and shoes. Hanne kruse brought the first of these delightful small thumbelina dollies on the market in 1957, and from the fabric on our doll here we date her to having been made in the 1970s. Please, do look at all the photographs provided. Vintage kathe kruse dolls synthetic head and braided human hair wig are all fine, as are all her clothes. Doll has a bendable wire skeleton inside (covered with foam and stockinet), so she can be posed. The maker’s mark is also present on the back of the doll.
