Her body is made form a glass vessel, sacred willow branches and amethyst has been placed inside the doll, her backbone made from a 100 year old willow tree that sits along a beautiful creek with crystal clear flowing waters. Her arms are made to represent the willow branches, yarns hand down, just as a weeping willow tree. Her face is beautiful just as it is, the soul of the doll shines through. She is heavily beaded all over the body of the doll, her arms and hair piece. A silver bead with a willow tree imprinted was sewn onto the middle of the doll. She is made in ritual on the full moon with incense, candles and resting sacred space. And healing goddess energy is called. Her ingredients are placed on the altar, to collect the energy of the healing. This doll is made with intention the moment the candle is lit. I make the dolls in layers(9) and tie 12 knots(each knot is tied 4 times for the elements). When the doll is finished, she spends time under the moon. She is not placed in a box, she sits with the others in a special altar space. Before she leaves, she is cleansed once more with smoke, scented and wrapped. Once the doll is wrapped, she is sleeping. When she is opened, she wakes up. I recommend meditating with your doll, hold her and share energy. She is a tool for healing. Think upon her intentions and how they are connected to your spirit. Breathe life into her. Place her in a place of honor, and touch her often. 1- core of the doll, her back bone. Made from wood or herbs. 2- connect the arms and neck, first knot. This gives her form. 3- body is wrapped in soft fleece and bound with knot 2. 4- her heart is added and wrapped a second time, bound with knot 3. 5- her face is fitted to the doll, this gives her her voice. 6-her base cloth is wrapped, chosen for color, she expresses herself with color, bound with knot 4. 7- second layer of color is added, and pins with knot 5. 8-third layer of color, wrapped around the clay face, bound with knot 6. 9-layers of fringe are added knot 7 and 8. 10- stones are added to the center of the doll chosen for their healing energies. 11- beads are added to the rest of the body knots 10/11. 12- hair is placed on the doll knot 12. Doll is about 20 long.
