She became interested in magick because she wanted a way to get her father’s attention. From there, she began studying on her own. By the time she was 25, she was responsible for multiple expansions of her father’s banking business. Her father knew this and encouraged her. Sadly, this led to an even more abusive relationship between the two of them. He called this “earning her freedom”. Even more sadly, she knew this was the only way to receive affection from her father, so she obeyed him. Eventually, darya tired of helping him and getting nothing in return but a pat on the head. She felt like a dog in a witch’s body. In her “earned freedom” times, she began to spread rumors about her father’s connection to black magick. She regrets using the people who would have killed her at the drop of a hat, but she had no other choice. She even recruited her old teacher to make flyers that explained how her father was using “forces against god” in his greedy quest for riches. He was eventually ran out of london and wound up in germany. Darya, who was happy to have true freedom now, moved in with her teacher. They eventually fell in love and moved to the countryside. Here, they taught many young girls how to be independently wealthy. The two strong women showed their students they did not need men to give them the things they needed in life. Slowly but surely, they built a coven that exists outside of england to this day. However, her father told his rich friends that his daughter had died due to the “false” rumors that spread about him in england. Thus, all her great work is erased from the popular history. Darya passed at the age of 69. While her partner was older than her, she still outlived her by a year. Darya’s partner still visits her from time to time.
