One of a kind original hand made art doll dubbed “horace” by my mother. Horace is an original character tied to no species, although i consider him to be a “demon dog”. He is fully poseable horace is made with polymer clay, air dry clay, wire, paint, felt, and a gorgeous silver-black faux fur. He is both machine and hand sewn, and his face and feet are flocked with loose fur. Every piece of this is made by me, including the pattern horace is a whopping 34 inches long, 8 inches long, 15 inches wide, and weighs 1lb. Concerns for this ooak art doll. As each doll i make is completely one of a kind, each one comes with it’s own problems. In the case of horace, his head is unintentionally extremely heavy. He can stand up, but his head will always droop unless it is propped up. His head has also previously broken off his neck and although this has been fixed, it has the potential to happen again. One hand is also loose, as can be seen in the final image, but it is still poseable. “Art dolls” are a unique art form that usually refers to a creature made from clay/resin, wire, and fabric. The head, feet, and hands are usually made from clay or resin to allow for intricate detail, while the body is made from fabric to create a soft plushy feeling. Wire is run throughout the entire doll to allow for poseability for display. Art dolls are a collectable art, and are not intended for children. Clay and wire pieces may be fragile and mishandling of a doll can cause it to break. Please note, i live in a household with three cats.
