LARGE Ichimatsu Doll from Japan, Japanese Child Doll in Kimono, Japanese Friendship Doll, Japanese Kimekomo Gofun Doll
She is called ichimatsu as she was created to resemble the’friendship dolls’ exchanged between japanese and american children after wwii, with a sweet and innocent face. She stands 16&1/2″ tall, not including the base, which is 7″ x 5&1/4″ x 1/2″ high. She is wearing a brocade kimono which is tucked and pinned in various places, and topped with an obi (wide fabric sash belt), and other ornamental ties. The tassel in the front is still wrapped in cellophane. She has no shoes and there are no marks on the base. She is in marvelous condition with no visible flaws. I noticed after i did the photos that her ceramic hands have painted nails i will get a pic of these up shortly. The doll is quite heavy. Conversely, if i have under estimated by more than this amount, i will convo you prior to sending an invoice with the additional charge.
